Web Of Distress is a sonic painter, he uses sound and the manipulation of sound, as the colors to create the pieces. Web Of Distress provides the soundtrack, you supply the imagery, and imagination. It's just that simple.

Everything posted here, is LOOP-based, using Sony ACID Pro 6.0, and Sony Sound Series libraries, Peace Love Productions libraries, and other source libraries. I do not sample from other artists, and all content is royalty-free material, and does not infringe upon others' Copyrights. As well as, loops I created on my Roland JP-8080, D-50, XP-10, or Korg MS2000R, using Cubase, Sony Sound Forge 9.0, or Acid Pro 6.0.

Since I don't conform to any specific Genre labels, I tend to mix-mosh styles and genres as I deem suitable, to make the sound I hear in my head. Therefore, I came to the conclusion, to just avoid the labelling system altogether, but, associated my profile genre's to represent the elements I utilize in my works. In the past I focused on a 'work' in progress, not a 'body of work that is the project'. WebOfDistress is going to be much more "conceptually motivated" than my previous enterprises, and the Serial Dreams album is the result of this modification in my process. I'll still be making "single' pieces, but even then, I'll be thinking of every work, as an entity to be included into a collective entity.

SERIAL DREAMS Project: For all intents and purposes, is closed. Just letting the piece settle for a bit, and collecting data. The more I listen to it, the more real it becomes, and the more I remember about the dreams, the process, and there is so much relevant information still missing, in the Project Overview.

I've made Moonrise Over Desert available for free downloading as a Fuzz Exclusive track. It won't be available anywhere else..MySpace.. Last.FM... ACIDPlanet...nowhere! I also made Stretched Beyond Your Means downloadable as well, just one of those minor details I forget to do after posting new tracks. I would also like to thank everyone who has listened, I'm glad you took the time to at least drop by and hear what it is I do. Thanks!
Prior to viewing the pilot show the other night, I had never heard of the Middle Man. Unless, of course, using the context in business terms, both legal and illegal. So, at first I wasn't exactly certain what to make of it. If you don't know anything about what I am talking about, it's OK, I don't believe I'm actually writing about this anyways. I'm not a huge fan of television, but there have been several surprises over the last 40 years, this show is one of them...

No pictures of orbs yet, but I did get a movie of a skeleton in my bathroom sink. I've posted it here:

I like the music... sounds like something I can put on and paint to.

Peace.

Did you see that you can upload your songs onto Blip? Very cool.

Thanks for your comment on that blog. That stuff is so important when functioning within a community...any community. From the kid's swim school to my aforementioned coffee shop to the classroom to the impromptu community that forms at shows. I went to a show last week that was a complete lovefest. People were hugging goodbye at the end - some who knew one another and some who didn't, but shared the same love for the same music. It was a triumph for all in one way or another - that's the sign of a good show.
